Grandma E の英語日記

Sunday, October 27

I went to my mother's house to clean out her personal belongings. She was a very tidy person and always folded her clothes neatly. She considered herself a minimalist. However, she had difficulty throwing away gifts from her friends. Many scarves, handkerchiefs, and bags were still wrapped in original packaging. She was born and raised during World War II in Japan, a time when people suffered from shortages of daily necessities. It's no wonder she held onto these items.
