Oshi no ko
"Oshi no ko" is a Japanese comic and manga. "Oshi" means "The person who I want to empower, and recommend whose activities to watch." This word was originated from an idol group, AKB48. Idols of AKB48 compete with each other. They are ranked by election. And fans who bought CDs of AKB48 can vote for their Oshi. Today, "oshi" became more major because YouTube made a function that allows people to donate money to their Oshi, called SuperChat.
The Japanese word which shows "Oshi" is "推し." "推" means "recommend." In this case, the Japanese word "no" is the counterpart of "-ly." "Oshi no" can be literally translated as "recommendly."
The Japanese word "ko" means "child" or "girl."
"Oshi no ko" has two meanings. First, a girl who I want to empower. Second, children of a girl who I wanted to empower.
Following the title, this story revolves around an idol and her children. The father of her children is unknown to them. One of her children seeks to kill his father.
