With access to the Internet from a young age, we zoomers grew up amid a rapidly evolving landscape of social media, technology, and information.

Even more so than for previous generations,

our influences while growing up were not limited to the people in our immediate physical environment;
物理的に身近な人々に縛られずに

being connected with sources of information from all over the globe
世界中の情報発信者とつながることで
enabled us to see the stark realities of the wider world.
世界で起きている厳しい現実を知ることができた。
Whether it was climate change,
気候変動や
the student-debt issue,
学生ローンの問題
the deteriorating work environment,
労働環境の悪化
or racial or gender discrimination,
人種差別や性差別など
we saw the world's undeniable problems, not in sugarcoated form but as they actually were,
まぎれもないリアルな世界の現実を見ることになった。

undeniable 否定できない、明白な
and we recognized them not as matters if personal responsibility but as systemic problems.
そして、それは自己責任ではなく、制度的問題だと、認識するようになった。
