Remarkable Match of This Week

Joao Felix has no chance of appearance on the pitch

Chelsea's captain Reece James has returned and is positioned as the left side-back. Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in the defensive midfield are also showing impressive performances, and Jadon Sancho on the right side has made a full comeback with Chelsea. They are opponents that must be dealt with. As for the match, Liverpool earned a penalty kick in the first half, which FW Mohamed Salah confidently converted to take the lead. Although Chelsea equalized early in the second half, Liverpool immediately regained the lead when MF Curtis Jones penetrated the penalty area vertically and scored from a difficult position. In Manager Arne Slot's midfield hierarchy, Curtis Jones is clearly moving up the ranks, making the current situation tough for Wataru Endo. Additionally, Liverpool GK Caoimhin Kelleher once again showed fine saves to rescue the team. It's truly helpful to have him as the second-choice goalkeeper. After conceding the lead in the second half, Chelsea made three substitutions at once, but they were unable to score thereafter.

Other Games

Southampton are truly struggling. After taking a two-goal lead at home and tightening their defense, they conceded three goals and suffered a clean reversal. The manner of their losses throughout this season has been particularly poor. Crystal Palace also can't secure a win. Despite creating such a sensation in the latter half of last season and having high expectations for this season, they remain winless after eight matches. There are even whispers about the potential dismissal of manager Oliver Glasner. As for Manchester City, I thought they would drop points again this round with another draw.

Tables

Liverpool's solid defense at the top of the table shines. While watching the matches, there are many dangerous situations, but they've only conceded 3 goals in 8 games so far. This is an impressive statistic. I don't think they can maintain this defensive solidity until the latter half of the season, though. Nottingham Forest's 8 goals scored and 6 conceded while maintaining 8th place is also remarkable. Manchester United, languishing in 12th place, is also holding up well with 7 goals scored and 9 conceded. They've already had two matches where they conceded 3 goals, which means they've managed to get through the remaining 6 matches conceding only 3 goals...

Team of the Week

Manager of the Week is Sean Dyche

Please mark one point at least at Etihad Stadium

Don't worry. Liverpool won't lose. More importantly, let's talk about Southampton. Please, I beg you, stop Manchester City. I'm not asking for too much. A draw would be fine. I implore you to snatch at least one point against the Citizens. First, in the first half, hang in there and survive with a 0-0 score. City often struggles to score in the first half and has conceded the opening goal in many games, but in Southampton's case, due to their inferior overall strength, they won't be able to hold out until the end of the match. Please score the opening goal in the second half. And then, don't let them turn it around before the final whistle!
