As a Liverpool fan, I was worried about whether Manchester City would finally make a comeback and break their losing streak, but the Reds proved to be strong as always. When looking at the starting lineup, City's squad seemed inferior. Using midfielder Rico Lewis in the midfield was a desperate measure. Liverpool's opening goal came from a high-speed cross by winger Mohamed Salah from the left side, which was met by winger Cody Gakpo on the far right, leaving City's defender Kyle Walker behind. After conceding the first goal to Liverpool, Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola's substitutions did not work well. The substitute players who came onto the pitch did not seem capable of overturning the disadvantage. Midfielders Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne, returning from injury, also lacked impact in their play. Meanwhile, our Reds continued to press their opponents with football led by midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai until the end. There was even room to send midfielder Harvey Elliott onto the pitch at the end.

Manchester United's performance under new manager Amorim has been noteworthy. He switched to a three-man defense and gave new tasks and motivation to talented forwards Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee. Right-winger Amad Diallo was particularly impressive, repeatedly cutting out opponent's passes and turning them into scoring opportunities. The team's transformation in just two Premier League games under Amorim is remarkable, making one wonder what kind of mental shift he implemented. Brighton's left-winger Kaoru Mitoma scored in two consecutive games. Not only were his goals impressive, but his incredible trap near the end of the match was also spectacular. Lastly, Southampton's midfielder Tyler Dibling deserves mention. His powerful dribbling skills are outstanding. At just 18 years old, he represents another discovery of new English talent.
