I think the Saints did a great job. Away from home, just 5 minutes into the game, Manchester City's FW Erling Haaland scored an incredible goal from an impossible position. The Saints must have wondered how they would fight for the remaining 85 minutes. But they endured. I believe the Saints players ran well throughout both halves of the match. It was a shame that Southampton's FW Cameron Archer couldn't score when he got one-on-one with the goalkeeper after sneaking past the offside line just before the end of the first half. But that couldn't be helped. City's GK and DF were properly dividing their roles to close down Archer's shooting angles, making it extremely difficult to score in that situation.
Other Games
Crystal Palace finally secured their first win of the season in the 9th round. However, the value of MF Daichi Kamada, who joined Palace with much fanfare this season, has yet to shine. The agony continues for Spurs manager Postecoglou, who suffered a bitter defeat. Despite having a deep squad and excellent counter-attacking speed, they can't seem to secure victories.
The most anticipated match of the round was the "on the brink of sacking" derby between Manchester United and West Ham. Regarding the match content, United suffered a humiliating defeat at home after a controversial penalty decision in the second half. At this juncture, the United hierarchy finally decided to dismiss manager Erik ten Hag.
Also, there were many drawn matches in this round.

Manchester United's top management has finally decided to dismiss manager Erik ten Hag. Former player and coach Ruud van Nistelrooy will take over as interim manager. After 9 rounds, the team sits in 14th place. Their points tally is less than half of that of their rivals and league leaders Manchester City. Their goal-scoring ability ranks third-worst in the league. The team has reached a point where they no longer understand what they don't understand.

While it would be interesting to focus on Manchester United's interim manager Nistelrooy's first match, I'd like to draw attention to the Spurs vs Villa game. Aston Villa not only boasts a potent attack centered around forward Ollie Watkins, but I want to highlight their solid defensive line. In other words, I'm keen to see if Spurs, who are currently struggling, can display their destructive attacking power and secure a victory.
