Episode 4: Three-generation family trip (12 people, grandparents, parents, children)
Characters:
Grandfather Kentaro (75 years old): Former university professor. He has extensive knowledge and experience and cherishes his family.
Grandmother Michiko (73 years old): Kentaro's wife. She wishes for her family's happiness above all else.
Father Masaki (50 years old): Kentaro and Michiko's eldest son. He serves as an executive at an IT company.
Mother Yumiko (48 years old): Masaki's wife. She supports the household as a homemaker.
Eldest son Shota (25 years old): Masaki and Yumiko's eldest son. He works for a major manufacturer.
Eldest daughter Mai (23 years old): Masaki and Yumiko's eldest daughter. She works as a nurse.
Second son Daisuke (20 years old): Masaki and Yumiko's second son. He is a university student.
Uncle Shinichi (48 years old): Kentaro and Michiko's second son. He is a culinary researcher.
Aunt Yuko (46 years old): Shinichi's wife. She is a kindergarten teacher.
Cousin Yoichi (15 years old): Shinichi and Yuko's eldest son. He is a high school student.
Cousin Yui (12 years old): Shinichi and Yuko's eldest daughter. She is a middle school student.
Cousin Misaki (8 years old): Shinichi and Yuko's second daughter. She is an elementary school student.
The three-generation family, who usually live separately, gathered at the luxurious villa "experience villa Nasushiobara" in Nasushiobara. Everyone's hearts were filled with anticipation for the long-awaited family trip.
"Everyone looks well, and that's what matters most," Kentaro says, looking around at the gathered family. "Dad, Mom, you both look youthful," Yumiko smiles.
Upon arriving at the villa, everyone expresses their amazement at its luxury. "Wow, it's amazing! It's like a castle!" Misaki's eyes sparkle. "We can relax comfortably here," Masaki nods with satisfaction.
After carrying their luggage to the rooms, the family gathered in the living room. "Since we're here, why don't we all play a game together?" Shinichi suggests. "There's a Nintendo Switch. We can play 'The Game of Life' and 'Momotaro Dentetsu,'" Yuko says, and the children's eyes light up. "Yay! Let's all play together!" Misaki exclaims with joy.
As the game begins, laughter fills the room. "Grandpa, you're too strong!" Daisuke says, a sore loser. "I'm a senior in life. I can't afford to lose," Kentaro replies with a smile.
As dinnertime approaches, it's Shinichi's turn to show off his skills. "I'm going to make special dishes using fresh ingredients from Nasu," Shinichi says while putting on an apron.
"I'm looking forward to it. Shinichi's cooking is the most delicious," Michiko says, her heart swelling with anticipation.
An array of colorful dishes line the table. "Wow, it looks delicious!" Yoichi exclaims. "Brother, your cooking skills have improved," Masaki says, impressed. "It's all for the family," Shinichi smiles.
After the meal, it's time for the hot springs. "It's such a luxury to have a private bath with free-flowing hot spring water," Yumiko looks happy. "And it's free-flowing for 24 hours. There's also a private stone bath and sauna," Yuko adds. "It will warm us to the core!" Mai's eyes sparkle.
As the night deepens, conversations are still lively in the living room. "Spending time together as a family like this is truly precious," Michiko says with deep emotion. "We're usually busy and can't meet often, so I'm happy to have opportunities like this," Shota nods.
Day two. Under the blazing midsummer sun, the children decide to head to the family pool at Nasunogahara Park. "The pool! I want to go quickly!" Yui shouts energetically. "Everyone, don't forget to put on sunscreen," Yumiko calls out.
Meanwhile, Kentaro and Michiko decide to relax at the villa. "It's been a while since we could spend time together, just the two of us," Michiko smiles. "Yes. Let's soak in the hot spring and take a nap," Kentaro suggests.
The children return from the pool, still excited. "It was so much fun!" Misaki reports with a smile. "The flowing pool was thrilling and the best!" Yoichi is also excited.
After lunch, the family enjoys the villa's activities. "Want to play table tennis?" Shota points to the table tennis table. "Sounds good. It's a brother showdown!" Daisuke gets fired up.
Mai calls out to her father, Masaki, "Since there's a tennis court, let's play tennis! We can rent rackets and balls for free." "It's been years. Alright, let's do it," Masaki stands up. Seeing this, Yoichi and Yui also join in, saying, "We'll play too!" and despite being beginners, an intense match unfolds.
For dinner, everyone decides to go out to a nearby restaurant they reserved. After returning, some people set off fireworks and have a bonfire in the garden, some soak leisurely in the hot spring, some chat in the living room with a drink in hand, and some start playing games, each spending the last night as they please.
On the final morning.
"Today's checkout time is 10:00 a.m., so let's all clean up together before then," Masaki calls out to the family. "Okay!" the children reply energetically.
Everyone works together to clean up the rooms. "We made so many memories," Kentaro murmurs with satisfaction. "It would be nice if we could gather here again next year," Michiko smiles.
Having finished cleaning, the family leaves the villa. "If we come again in winter, we can soak in the hot spring amidst the snowy landscape," Shota lets his imagination run wild. "I'm looking forward to winter activities too. Like skiing and playing in the snow," Mai's eyes sparkle.
"experience villa Nasushiobara in winter must be lovely too," Michiko smiles. "Yes, let's all come together again in winter," Kentaro suggests, and the entire family agrees.
Two nights and three days at experience villa Nasushiobara. With the memories of this summer in their hearts, the family eagerly awaits the arrival of winter. Surely, irreplaceable memories will be born here again.
