さぁ、地獄極楽小路の'地獄'とは?
反対側の右側を見ると。。。

但し、目を伸ばすと。。。そうですね: 赤煉瓦、古くて、本格的なもの。

高さ3メ-トル以上の長い赤煉瓦塀があります。
A red brick wall over 3 meters high.

実は、1845-1971に牢獄所/刑務所があったそうです。赤煉瓦塀のある部分が保存され、
Truth is, this section of brick wall has been preserved from the days when a prison was located here, from 1845-1971.

現在の西大畑公園中にも跡が若干残ってる。
It's now Nishi Ohata Park, and there are a few relics of the past within its precincts.
