[Source code available] Development of a Discord comment summarizing bot using the Chat GPT API

Motivation for creating the bot

Hi, I'm Pypal! I created a Discord bot using chat GPT and DALL-E, so I'd like to share it in this article! 🙇

Have you ever had the experience of wanting to write a comment on Discord, but you couldn't keep up with the flow of the conversation due to an overflow of comments, making it difficult to participate? 😭

In the group I belong to, there are hundreds of comments per day, making it difficult for many people to keep up and participate in the conversation...

When you run the bot I created, it automatically generates and writes:

• Summary of comments

• Image illustration

• Opinion text

I highly recommend this bot for those who struggle to keep up with large amounts of comments in their conversations! Why not try it in your own Discord group?!

About the summary bot When the bot is executed, it writes a summary, an image illustration, and an opinion in three parts!

The logic of the bot is quite simple and consists of the following steps:

1. Retrieve conversation from the target Discord channel

2. Instruct the ChatGPT API to summarize the retrieved conversation and provide impressions, then receive the result

3. Instruct the DALL-E API to create an illustration and receive the result

Regarding the ChatGPT API usage fees: There will be a usage fee for the ChatGPT API used in this bot. If you use the sample code as it is, the usage fee will be around $0.05 per use (get-3.5-turbo + DALL-E).
I will provide links to the API pricing (Pricing) and usage situation (Usage) below, so please check them in advance.
