The northern part of the city has flat terrain, and the southern part has the beautiful mountains of the Konsho Mountains. Here, you can enjoy hiking and outdoor activities while enjoying the nature that has been selected as one of the 100 best forests in Japan for forest bathing.

Ritto City is also located along the old Tokaido and Nakasendo roads, and is dotted with historical heritage sites such as temples, shrines, and ancient tombs.
