IAASB Approves International Sustainability Assurance Standard 5000

On September 20, the IAASB (International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board) approved the International Standard on Sustainability Assurance (ISSA) 5000. It is scheduled for official publication within this year, with various guidance and application materials set to be released in January next year.
An agenda paper containing the draft and final documents for ISSA 5000 has also been published.


Japan Cosmetic Industry Association Focuses on International Competitiveness and Sustainability

On September 27, EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group) and the Secretariat of the Taskforce on Inequality and Socially Related Financial Disclosure (TISFD) signed a cooperation agreement aimed at advancing and adopting socially related financial information disclosure.
The agreement aims to promote a global disclosure framework that enables companies and financial institutions to understand and report on the impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities related to people.
