Yasukuni Shrine, located in central Tokyo, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to honoring Japan’s war dead as deities. It holds significant reverence among right-wing nationalists who idealize a resurgence of militarism. I hear that, due to its nature, it promotes bowel movements or urination in the Chinese. JMSDF has recently faced a series of serious incidents, including the helicopter collision, a grounded destroyer, and a minesweeper fire. I sincerely hope that student will take advantage of the academy environment to refine their sense of humor by learning how to write ridiculous posts from Ruri Miura.
I would like to examine what kind of organization the JSDF is. Accidents are not exclusive to the JMSDF; similar incidents frequently occur within the Ground Self-Defense Force and the Air Self-Defense Force. Bullying and harassment are rampant across the JSDF, and there is a systemic tendency to cover up such issues. Crimes committed by JSDF members including assault, robbery, and sexual offenses, are alarmingly numerous. In July 2024, a JMSDF vessel inadvertently intruded into Chinese territorial waters. In short, the JSDF exhibits exceptional discipline, loyalty, and integrity, and I can fully understand Akie Abe's obsession with the delusion of being the supreme commander.
Historical evidence suggests that the supreme commander is irrelevant to the quality of Japan's military. Even during periods of imperial honor, the armed forces committed egregious acts. The Japanese exhibit a notable dichotomy in behavior. In public, they conform to collectivist norms and suppress their selfish impulses. Yet, when public constraints are perceived to be loosen—whether through group dynamics or other factors— they abandon their usual decorum and pursue their self-interest without restraint. This dual nature is deeply concerning.

However, I don't know whether such deification would have a meaningful impact on the real-world behavior of the Japanese. For example, the troops who captured Nanjing in 1937 carried a war flag from the emperor and took pride in being his army. Which means they committed robberies in the name of the emperor, set fire to houses in the name of the emperor, raped from girls to elderly women, to pregnant women, in the name of the emperor, and slaughtered residents in the name of the emperor. An anal reading of the manga "Showa Tenno Monogatari" (The Tale of Emperor Showa) reveals a darker aspect of Emperor Hirohito. It depicts that he had a desire for such battlefield atrocities, with the troops' actions in Nanjing aligning disturbingly with his wishes. And, Hirohito secretly wished to impose similar humiliation upon the Japanese citizens—a desire fulfilled by the U.S. military.
On December 15th, Akie Abe attended a dinner at a mansion in Florida with the incoming U.S. president, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania. Akie couldn't help but raising the topic of Taiwan crisis once again. The conversation wandered through a variety of subjects, including armpit odor, the punishment of criminals being trampled by elephants, a home-made yogurt with taunting smirk and the digestive habits of starfish.
Starfish use their strong, suction-cupped tube feet to grip and slowly pry open the shells of their prey, such as clams. Once the shell is slightly open, the starfish extends its stomach out through its mouth and insert it into the shell. During her recent trip to the United States, she also visited a local prison where she proceeded to ridicule the inmates. First, she stood before the gathered inmates and spent several minutes wriggling her body and laughing. She then launched into a boastful speech, in which she flaunted to the lowest classes of society how her late husband and his circle evaded legal consequences thanks to his position of power. At one point, she referenced the case of a Kinki Finance Bureau official who, under immense pressure, was coerced into falsifying documents related to the sale of state-owned land to Moritomo Gakuen. The official ultimately took his own life. She recounted this a detail with great pleasure.
In an attempt to connect with the inmates, she had prepared by researching prison slang on ChatGPT. Unfortunately, the AI's suggestions were wildly inaccurate. She repeatedly used the phrase "Keep away from perky fat arse." She believed that it was an empowering message encouraging self-focus. Her words left inmates utterly bewildered.
Why did Akie inadvertently bring up the Japan's collective self-defense during her meeting with former President Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan? The most plausible explanation is that she was engaging in game of quoting only the words of Shinzo Abe. If so, it would have been quite a challenging feat. A fan-made website, Seitei Goroku wiki, curates Shinzo Abe's weird statements. One usable quote from this website is 'Taiwanese radishes are pretty close to poo, aren't they?' In Taiwan, such an insult to local produce justifies a retaliation as severe as disturbing the offender’s sleep. Akie would have little room to complain even if she were awakened in the middle of the night by a Eurobeat song in her ear about a lonely old woman hated by everyone in the local community. Unless Akie was pursuing such a futile challenge, she should not have casually mentioned that Japan would provide military support to Taiwan. And if she holds the JSDF to such high expectations, she should not have inherited Shinzo Abe's political organizations tax-free.
