If I had much time, I can do (almost) everything.

Hi, it's Maruko.

I found one essential thing about time.

This week at this "note", I thought about the diversity in my life. Work, relationships, investment, redundancy... and the last day is about "time".

Thinking about my last 13 years (since I started to work), I dedicated my time to the company all the time.

Yesterday, I reviewed my April and realized;
If I had much time, I can do (almost) everything.

It's a matter of course... However, I couldn't see this important fact because I had adjusted myself too much to the format of the employee.

Before I started the remote work, I made desperate efforts to make time. My office hour + commuting time was 12 hours, so the biggest subject was how to spend the rest of the time more efficient. I was shocked to know the fact that I had only 1.5 hours just for using for myself.

Now I'm doing the remote work and the actual working hours would be less than 6 hours. At the excess time generated, I do fitness, reading books, and output.

My satisfaction after the remote work is higher than before

If everyone feels such a positive effect as well as me, perhaps there will be a big movement to change our lifestyle to reduce working hours or stay with their family.

On the contrary, others feel stress because of a tiny home or poor self-cooking skill.

Our home isn't designed to stay at home all day long. Its design is suitable for employees, students, and other occupations who stay home only in the evening or weekends. I think this style is already an "old type".

If lifestyle changes, demand changes. We need to change flexibly.
