英語空所補充問題(8)

音楽の効果に関する文章の続きです。
前後をよく読んで答えてください。

Music also makes us eat and drink more. Scientists recognize that fast music makes us eat faster, and slow music makes us eat more slowly. If you eat quickly, your body doesn’t
have time to tell you it’s full, and you often eat too much. If you eat over a long period, you’re likely to order extra desserts or drinks. For this reason, many restaurants will play classical music in the background. It has helped to increase drink sales ( 1 ) 40 percent and gotten customers ( 2 ) stay 24 percent longer than usual.
Most people are nervous at the dentist’s office. No one likes the sound of a drill working on their teeth. A dentist and psychologist did an experiment together to see ( 3 ) playing classical music would comfort patients. Patients who listened to classical music through headphones had a more relaxing experience than those who did not.
Humans aren’t the only ones affected by music. Classical music makes chickens ( 4 ) more eggs, and cows produce more milk. (5)appear/ respond/ to/ to/ music/ even plants; plants in a room with classical music grow toward the music.
Music is great as both a source of entertainment ( 6 ) a tool. Effective music has the power to improve not only your grades, ( 7 ) also your chickens’ output. That sounds like good news!
