Made the switch to recruiting where she then worked in Tokyo for 5 years and Singapore for 2 years specialising in technology talent, and currently hiring for Japanese companies. Tell us about your overseas experience

My father worked at a trading company and was frequently posted overseas. I was born in Peru, returned to Japan when I was about 3 years old. Then we moved to Mexico when I was 7-10 years old. After that I went to school in Japan.

When I was in high school I did a 1 year exchange program in Florida, USA. After I left my first job out of university, I spent a year in Mexico and Guatemala learning Spanish. I had a strong interest in English after the 1 year exchange in high school. I would say my English is business level and I can manage daily conversations in Spanish.
