After I graduated I joined a recruiting firm and worked for about 8.5 years. Initially I was working as sales at a recruitment firm. I did that role for about 5 years mainly covering Tokyo. I was inspired by a meeting with one of my clients and decided that I would get some overseas experience. I took a 2 year sabbatical from my company and went to the Philippines as well as New York for studies and also for internships. After I went back to my job I moved to the Global Business team and did planning and sales for job search events specifically for foreigners looking to find jobs in Japan. After I left that job I started looking for jobs overseas. I would search for jobs in the day and then help out with other ad-hoc jobs at night. For example, counselling and advising top university students from overseas who want to work in Japan. Right now I've been in Singapore for slightly over a year. I cover the Japanese
market for a British company that provides online education programs and exchange programs.
