13歳、1960年2月、中学2年の時、隣からの類焼で、自宅全焼。人生初の大きな出来事でした。
At the age of 13, our house was completely burnt down. I was shocked, but it's a good experience in my life.
It was a shock, but if we think of it as fertilizer for our long life, it's a good thing. Everything has its ups and downs.

高校3年の時、無断早退とタバコで停学10日。反省！
During my time at Osaka Meisei Gakuen High School. After school, I would play pachinko, mahjong, play billiards, smoke, leave school early without permission, etc. I was quite conspicuous. 22歳。１９６９年４月、メルバブ貿易株式会社大阪本社に就職。サービス残業が嫌で、2年余りで退職。給料を貰った上に、ビジネスと英語を勉強させてもらいました。 ありがとうございました。 Age 22. In 1969, I started working at the Osaka headquarters of Merbabu Trading Co., Ltd. I didn't like the unpaid overtime, although it'scommon in Japan then. so I quit after about two years. In addition to getting a salary, I was able to study business and English. Thank you very much.

26歳。１９７３年８月、沖縄の離島を３ヶ月放浪する。伊江島では漁師と一緒に潜って仕事してたよ。 Age 26. In August 1973, I traveled around Okinawa's remote islands for three months. On Iejima, I worked diving with fishermen.

26歳。1973年12月、株式会社アクアマリンに、プロダイバーとして入社。宿泊・食事付きで、日当一万五千円。当時としては、破格の日当。でも、ダイナマイトを使った、チョット、危ない仕事だった。 Age 26. In December 1973, I joined Aquamarine Co., Ltd. as a professional scuba diver. Accommodation and meals included, and the daily wage was 15,000 yen. At the time, it was an exceptional daily wage. However, it was a slightly dangerous job, using dynamite.

27歳。１９７４年５月~１２月、旧ソ連、ヨーロッパ各地、北アフリカ、中近東、アジア各地を８ヶ月余り、一人で放浪。途中スペインのサラマンカで３週間のスペイン語の集中コースを受ける。 Age 27. From May to December 1974, I traveled alone for eight months, through the former Soviet Union, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. During the trip, I took a three-week intensive Spanish language course in Salamanca, Spain.

Because I wasn't sure if I would be able to obtain permanent residency, and I was a little worried about the safety situation.

３５歳。１９８２年２月、勢いで、大阪の香里園で、プロ・ショップ・サンタモニカ、オープン！ At the age of 35, I opened Professional Marin Shop SANTAMONICA.
We provided foreign surfers with wetsuits and boards.

３５歳。1982年6月、日本海で第一回サンタモニカ杯・サーフィン大会開催 Age 35. In June 1982, the first Santa Monica Cup surfing competition was held in the Sea of Japan.

40歳。1987年。ハワイ出店を夢見て、ハワイに5回行くも、出店取り止め。 Age 40. 1987. Dreaming of opening a store of Marine Sports in Hawaii, I went there five times, but the plan was cancelled.
４３歳。１９９０年１月、初めての家族の海外旅行は、インド３週間、汽車の旅！まるで、難民のシュミレーション？At the age of 43, I travelled India with my family for 3 weeks. It was like a refugee simulation?
Normally, families don't travel to India, do they? I regret it!
That night, we slept in a tent looking at the starry sky.
４５歳。1992年３月、オーストラリア東海岸とタスマニアをレンタカーで、家族で３週間の旅。At the age of 45, I travelled the East Coast of Australia and Tasmania with my family.
I fell in love with the Australian landscape.
I wanted to move to Australia.
４５歳。１９９２年８月、ニュージーランドのクィーンズ・タウンへ、お客さんと一緒にスノーボード＆バンジージャンプ ツアー At the age of 45, I went to New Zealand for Snowboarding and Bangee Jamping with our clients
４８歳。１９９５年１月、日本の家を売って、家族でニュージーランドに引っ越し。大冒険の始まり。At the age of 48, in 1995, I sold my house in Japan, and moved to New Zealand.

６４歳。２０１１年６月、SBS Christchurch Airport Marathon 10km 完走。小学校の時の運動会では、いつもビリから１番か、２番。これで、小学校の時からのマラソン・コンプレックス解消！ Age 64. Completed the SBS Christchurch Airport Marathon 10km in June 2011. In elementary school sports days, I always came in last, or second last. This finally got rid of the marathon complex I had since elementary school!
６４歳。2011.07.08 カンタベリー大震災の後、大阪屋、トレーラー・レストランで復活。

６５歳。2012年07月06日、 大飯原発再稼働！ 関電前抗議行動に参加。もう黙ってられなかったよ。この時は、お袋のお葬式で日本に帰国してました。 Age 65. July 6, 2012: Oi Nuclear Power Plant restarted! I participated in a protest in front of KEPCO. I couldn't keep quiet any longer. At that time, I had returned to Japan for my mother's funeral.

65歳。2012年6月3日、クライストチャーチ・エアーポート・マラソンでフルマラソン（42km）にチャレンジするも、残念ながら、当然ながら完走できず。日本から参加してくれた友達の岩城くんは、フル完走！ Age 65. On June 3, 2012, I challenged myself to run the full marathon (42km) at the Christchurch Airport Marathon, but unfortunately, I couldn't finish it. ６６歳。2013年６月２日、クライストチャーチ・マラソンで、ハーフ（21km）完走！ Age 66. Completed the half marathon (21km) at the Christchurch Marathon on June 2nd, 2013!

７２歳、2019年8月、Mt Hutt で右鎖骨を骨折。その後、2021年に肋骨２本骨折。2022年に左鎖骨を骨折。4年間で合計４本骨折。2023年5月に引退宣言をするも、その年に4回、Mt Hutt に行く。2024年は、3回のみ。これでも、Mt Hutt の伝説か？笑
Age 72, I broke my right clavicle at Mt Hutt in August 2019. Then, in 2021, I broke two ribs. In 2022, I broke my left clavicle. A total of four fractures in four years. I announced my retirement in May 2023, but went to Mt Hutt four times that year. In 2024, I went only three times. Am I still a legend at Mt Hutt? Lol
In 2021, I was rescued by Mt Hutt stuff.

74歳、2021年2月16日〜5月1日、2ヶ月半。「灯台下暗し」の言葉通り、1995年1月にNZに引っ越して以来、殆どNZを旅した事は、無かった。
本当は、南米に行きたかったけど、当時、世界中がワクチン問題で、ややこしくなっていたので、しょうがないから、NZの北島、南島を、2ヶ月半、一人でドライブ旅行をしました。
北島では、行く先々で、南米からのワーキングホリデーでNZに来てる若い男女と遭遇。マルで、南米を旅行してるみたいでした。それと北島にはマオリの人が多いから、マオリの色んな人と交流もできました。
出発前は、どうせ南島とよく似たもんやろと思って、余り期待してなかったけど、豈測らんや、最後の最後まで、本当に楽しかった。
又、いつか詳細を書こうと思う。
74 years old, 2.5 months from February 16 to May 1, 2021. As the saying goes, "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence," I have hardly traveled to NZ since I moved here in January 1995.
I actually wanted to go to South America, but at the time, the whole world was having trouble with vaccines, so I had no choice but to go on a 2.5 month road trip alone around the North and South Islands of NZ.
Everywhere I went in the North Island, I encountered young men and women who had come to NZ on a working holiday from South America. It was like traveling in South America. Also, there are a lot of Maori people in the North Island, so I was able to interact with various Maori people.
Before I left, I thought it would be very similar to the South Island, so I didn't have high expectations, but I had a really good time until the very end.
I'll write more about it someday.
