Mastering the Unique Power of the Otsutsuki with Kawaki
Kawaki (with the evolved "Karma"), Jigen, and Isshiki all wield the power of the Otsutsuki in various ways. For example, while Daikokuten is often associated with long-range attacks where stakes are launched at opponents, there are also unexpected uses, such as an all-directional attack where stakes emerge from around the user.
Kawaki's (with the evolved "Karma") ninjutsu "Daikokuten: Scattered Blossom" and Jigen's awakening ninjutsu "Black Madness Blossom" both employ the latter method. However, with Kawaki (with the evolved "Karma"), the stakes extend a second time after activation, allowing them to remain for a longer period. This makes them not only effective for pressuring opponents but also as a defensive barrier against projectiles.
Even when used as support ninjutsu, they are powerful, so be sure to give them a try!
Creating Actions That Are Uniquely "Kawaki"
When developing a playable character, it's necessary to create numerous actions that capture their essence. During production, the staff carefully reviewed the anime, incorporating memorable scenes into the character's actions to make them feel authentic.
For example, when the throw "Daikokuten: Collapse" is activated and scientific ninja tools surround the opponent, this action is inspired by the attack Kawaki used against Boruto in episode 292 of the anime BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS.
The ultimate jutsu "Great Funeral Bomb" also draws inspiration from different scenes in the anime BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS. The moment where energy blasts are launched is inspired by the visuals from the opening theme "GOLD," while the explosion scene references the powerful attack Kawaki unleashed on Code in episode 293, titled "Farewell."
