Natural Spotlight
Yesterday, I saw an interesting scene in the outside. It's on my way to the office from my home. It's just an ordinary road. But I've never seen such an interesting scene before. I took the picture using my smartphone, which is as follows.
As you can see in the above photo, it's a natural spotlight by sunlight and a traffic mirror. I like traffic mirrors, so I often take pictures of them. But I've never seen this kind of natural spotlight before. It's so interesting for me.
To tell the truth, I want to create some installations using traffic mirrors. Concretely speaking, I'd like to realize the way of light using many traffic mirrors. To realize it, I must move the angle of traffic mirrors. But it's an illegal action. It's against the "Road Traffic Act" in Japan. It can't be helped. If traffic accidents have occurred according to the traffic mirrors that I change their angles, I will be arrested due to the violation of the law.
From such consideration, I have thought about the installation in the virtual space. There are no traffic laws in the virtual space. So I can realize the installation with safe. In reality, I can use a digital twin model of the real world to realize the installation. However, my motivation becomes lower because there are no limitations in the virtual world. I think that if it's challenging that's what makes it interesting.
