Extended Research for AI
Next week I will go abroad to participate in an international conference on my research. I'm a faculty staff at my university so my main tasks are research and education. I go abroad to present my research two or three times a year. I always decide on domestic conferences and international ones to present my research at the end of March. In Japan, the end of a fiscal year is the end of March. So I make my annual schedule at the end of March. So I often search for domestic and international conferences at the end of March. Then, I list them up to submit my research paper.
When I searched for research conferences, I was just wondering one thing. It's a fact that research conferences related to AI have increased more and more. Of course, I know that we are in the 3rd boom of AI now. So it's so natural that research conferences related to AI have increased. However, I feel the number of conferences related to AI is too large. Extremely speaking, there may be no conferences without AI in the near future. Unfortunately, I've never done research related to AI. So I may not be able to submit my research papers to any conferences soon.
But I hit upon a good idea. Although I've never done research related to AI before, I may be able to do it easily. It's extended research for AI. It doesn't mean pure research for AI, but research extension with AI. For example, I've ever done "Food Projection Mapping" before. I wrote about it as follows.
In this case, we can use AI to examine the degree of grilling Takoyaki. We can change images and/or text messages for projection mapping depending on the degree of grilling Takoyaki. If we think of everything like this, we can create a lot of research topics related to AI. Until now, I've done a lot of research. So all of the research that I've done can be extended for research related to AI. Namely, I have a lot of chances to submit research papers.
