Light Painting and Guinness World Records
I like light painting. I sometimes create light painting work and make students in my lab create light painting work. You can see parts of our light painting work on Instagram.
Speaking of light painting, I have an ambition for light painting. It is to create the largest light painting work in the world and the work will be certified by Guinness World Records. In fact, I applied for Guinness World Records 8 years ago, on the 1st of July, 2016. The following is a capture image.

The above application is in Japanese. The translation is as follows.
Suggested record title: The largest light painting work in the world
Current record title: The largest light painting work in the world
Application Details: To create the largest light painting work in the world. Concretely speaking, a person who has an LED light moves around at night creates a trace of light, and takes a picture of the trace.
When I applied for this challenge, they had no category for this challenge in the Guinness World Records. So they deliberated it for about three months or so. As a result, they admitted my application and made this category.
But, we need a lot of money to challenge the Guinness World Records indeed. Although we can challenge the Guinness World Record without so much money, we need a lot of witnesses and must take a video that we challenge the record and make some documents in English. It's a high obstacle for ordinary people. So I hesitated to challenge it. Now my application has expired. To challenge it, I must apply again from scratch.
But I definitely will challenge it and get its Guinness World Recode someday.
