Manga and Research

I have been working on some research for over 25 years after I earned my Ph.D. Some of them are based on Manga. I mean Manga includes comics and animes. I have read a lot of Manga since I was a child. Lately, I don't read Manga so much, though. Anyway, I had a strong impact on some of Manga. This time. I want to introduce them to you.
Yesterday, I wrote about the installation using lights. To tell the truth, the idea is based on a weapon that appeared in a Manga. It is "Space Battleship Yamato". "Yamato" is a popular Manga (Anime) in Japan. But young people may not know about it. Because "Yamato" was broadcast in 1974. It's just 50 years ago. But some brand new work has been released after that.
I watched the 1st series of "Yamato" on TV 50 years ago. I was a 2nd-year student in my elementary school. But I remember "Yamato" clearly. Actually, some of the stories of "Yamato" deeply impressed me. The most impressive story I was moved by is the 8th story. In the 8th story, "Yamato" struggled against "Reflective Satellite Canon" by the opponent.
The "Reflective Satellite Cannon" is a laser cannon based on some satellites with mirrors. It can shoot "Yamato" from all directions using satellites with mirrors. "Yamato" can't know the direction of the laser lights because the route of the laser lights was different every time. I was a child, but I was really moved to see the "Reflective Satellite Cannon". I was interested in the mechanism of it using mirrors. As I wrote about it, I have liked mirrors since I was a child.
Getting back to the topic, my idea about the installation with lights is based on the "Reflective Satellite Cannon". Until now, I have thought about how to implement it many times. For example, I thought of it based on some drones with mirrors. But drones depend on the weather strongly. So I gave up the idea based on drones.
Yesterday, I hit upon a good idea suddenly. It is a secret now. But I will try it the next year. It's the 1st of December. The next year will be soon.
