12. 英語版サッカー用語第2弾！

皆さんこんにちは！お久しぶりです。
今日はトピックの通り英語版サッカー用語第2弾です！これからアメリカにサッカー留学をする人の参考になれば良いなと思います。

英語版サッカー用語 (英語フレーズ)

1. Squeeze: make the space tight defensively and apply quick first-man pressure to force an error
[意味]守備的にスペースを絞って、目の前の相手に素早くプレッシャーを与えて、ミスを誘う
2. Shift/slide: whole team moves together with the ball as it switch
[意味]ボールが逆サイドに動いたらチーム全体が一緒に動く
3. Over the top: look for the ball for a runner behind the opponent’s defensive line
[意味]相手のDFラインの裏を狙う/探す
4. Through ball: refers to any ball played beyond the opponent’s defensive line, usually on the ground
[意味]相手の最終ラインをグランダーで抜けていくボールのこと
5. Break the line: look to play the ball forward through forward, midfielder and opponent’s defensive lines
[意味]相手の前線、中盤、最終ラインとかをを抜いて運んでいくプレー
6. First time: play, shoot or pass with your first touch
[意味]最初のプレー/シュート/パス
7. Out/away: clear the ball high and wide
[意味]ボールを高くワイドにクリアすること
8. Play the way you face: don’t turn
[意味]相手を背負ってる
9. Back foot: let the ball run across your body and receive with the far foot
[意味]一回またいでボールが来た方向の遠い側の足で受ける
10. Face up/turn: let’s teammates know they have time and space to turn
[意味]前を向けるよ

今回は前回の第1弾より少し複雑なフレーズを紹介しました。フレーズを覚えて指示が出せるようになればアメリカでのサッカーがさらに楽しくなると思います。是非これから留学される方や今留学しててなんて指示をすればいいのか分からないという方は覚えて実際に使ってみてください。
