DIARY 5/2: internet

I like net surfing. The internet is very essential for our life.
We can buy something, collect some informations, and release some information. Almost all people use the internet nevertheless it developing countries.

I use the internet for watching YouTube videos, buy something on Amazon, check the bank account and credit card liabilities, and so on. When I have free time, I always watch YouTube and search for news what happened in the world.
Especially, for now, we can’t go outside due to the Coronavirus, I spend much time on the internet.

I guess the first time I use the internet was about 25 years ago, I used it in my classroom. It is getting more useful due to the development of information technologies.

In these days, there are many crimes regarding with internet. Some people thief the personal information from the internet and use it for malicious deed. I’m little bit worry that I’m stolen some information, so I sometimes change the password of some websites.

In terms of working, it is very important factor. Especially in this situation, we can’t work from home without the internet. In many case, we use e-mail for communicate with the person who is far from here and use the internet for collecting information. Some application, like Microsoft word and excel, is world business standard so we have to get skill for using it easily.

I think the internet should be regulated in order to keep our information safe. However I guess it is difficult. Because there are plenty of website on the internet so that we can’t manage all of them, I guess. I think the data on the internet will be increase more and more in the future. This technology make our life convenient but some people are anxious about the risk of it. Some researcher is developing the AI, or artificial intelligence. It may bring our life the great improvement but some people have anxious eye on it. They are wondering whether we can manage it or not. If we can’t manage, AI would have power over our control.

In terms of the problem of internet, we also have to manage the internet bullying. Some people are attacked by someone on the internet. The bad thing is person who attack others can hide who they are. The anonymity sometimes accelerate harshness. Bullies can hide their personalities so they will not be caught and they will not see the victims. Additionally, the online rumor, criticism, and impersonation will not be removed. The negative online reputation is permanent on the public space.
