Diary 5/3 Drinking party, working culture

I joined some online drinking party with my friends for the first time in a while.
I drunk too much so I'm hangover today.
It was so fun that I kept drinking for a long time. I'm basically introvert so it's not very tough for me to stay at home all day. However I like drinking with my friends and talking with my friends. I noticed I was a little bit lonely because I didn't talk with my friends for a long time. I think I have to make more chance to talk with someone even if it is such a situation.

I think drinking party but I have trouble to answer the question like “Do you like company drinking party, like Nomi-kai?” I think I say “Yes, but depends on.”

In Japan, many companies have old fashion drinking culture. I think it is not bad, however it’s little bid traditional. Some people, especially younger generation, don’t like drinking culture and others want to go home and spend their times on their hobby. Japanese workers have used their time for their companies for a long time. Devoting to their company was thought as virtue.
However the perspective is getting changed. More and more people think that workers have to spend their time on their own life and treat their family more important. Not only men but also wemen work after their child’s birth, so company need to pay more attention to worker’s life. They have to introduce more convenient system for workers in this age.

Many of us are working from home due to the Coronavirus for now, and many people work from home and spend more time with their family. It may bring the workers their mind shift and it might be change the Japanese working and drinking culture.
