Diary 4/28

Today, I’ve been working all day. Due to the Coronavirus, the city where I live is shut down. All the restaurants, bars, leisure facilities are closed so that I can’t go out. Therefore I’m working from home since last month.

When I had free time, I was reading books regarding mathematics and economics. I studied these at the university, but I didn’t study in English. So I can’t understand these topic in English nevertheless I studied. That’s a reason why I bought the books. I studied these kind of topics about ten years ago and I’ve forgotten many of them, but reading these books remind me what I studied. Now I’m reading the chapter about “definition of numbers ”.

In these days, I have so much free time, that I tend to think about the economics future. I don’t know what the world will be after Coronavirus panic. The oil price plunged and stock market is volatile. I don’t think the effect have reach some markets, like utility and real estate. However, if the situation continues for a long time, it will affect such markets, I guess.

Someone say that corona-shock will be worse than Global Financial Crisis. Many countries’ governors and Investors learned a lesson from GFC and they can prepare the crisis. However nobody know a recession caused by pandemic in modern society. I hope that it will calm down soon.
