岸田首相が米国で取り付けたMicrosoft巨額投資をサティア・ナデラCEOも賞賛
Satya Nadella氏が日本のAI変革を加速するためのパートナーシップを続ける中で、クラウドやAIインフラストラクチャ、スキリング、研究、サイバーセキュリティにおける投資を深化させる計画を発表しました。日本のAI技術の進展とそれに伴う経済的・技術的な成長に対する強いコミットメントを示していると言えます。
OpenAIのモデルとそれを利用したMicrosoftのCopilotをはじめとするAIは、Microsoftのazure上にありますがこのAI用Azureを全て日本拠点にするという発表は去年されていました。地理的に近いデータセンターを使用することで、データの伝送速度が向上し、レイテンシーが減少するので、AIアプリケーションはより迅速かつ効率的に動作します。これは、リアルタイムでのデータ処理や、高度なAI分析が必要なビジネスにとって特に重要で、日本でのAI使用に大きな利点になります。

岸田首相がMicrosoftの日本データセンター融資について米国で接触
つい最近、日本を拠点としたAI向けazureの巨額投資についての発表がありましたが（下記の記事参照）サティア・ナデラ氏のリポストしたMicrosoft副会長兼社長のブラッド・スミスの投稿を見ると、その契約を昨日岸田首相が米国で行ったとみられます。
日本はAI分野で出遅れているという認識でしたが？
彼のポストに対するリポストには日本がAI先進国であるかのような投稿が目立ちました。本当にそうであればいいのですが。
