Day Ten: Gatsby's past
I started reading chapter 4.
One morning, Caraway and Gatsby went to New York by Gatsby's car.
Gatsby didn’t usually have much to say, but he suddenly began to talk about his past.
He was born into a wealthy family in San Francisco.
He was brought up in America, but educated at Oxford.
His family left him a good deal of money, so he lived like a king in all the capitals of Europe.
During World War Ⅰ, he was sent to France as amajor, and he was made a major.
Carraway doubted Gatsby’s story, but it was proved to be true by Gatsby’s memorable item.
Gatsby was going to make a big request of Carraway that day's afternoon.
That’s why he told the truth.
I'm looking forward to knowing what that big request is.
See you!
