The Life of Kitten Bucho-7 Are You in Puberty?
Bucho loves water. It's rare to find a cat that isn't afraid of water. When it's time for his owner to take a bath, he goes to the bathroom on his own and sits on the tiles to wait. When his owner is in the bathtub, he sits on the edge and sticks his hands in the water to play. He also plays with the running water around his owner as his owner washes his/her hair and body.
By the time his owner got out of the bath, Bucho's back was soaking wet. The owners hoped that if he continued to evolve like this, he might be able to swim in the bathtub.
However, after the second vaccination, Bucho's attitude changed a little. He started to be late for bath time and started skipping baths more often. Even when he came, he just looked at the water from outside the bathroom and sometimes didn't even try to get in.
It seems Bucho has finally realised that getting his fur wet is extremely unpleasant. Sadly, our dreams of his becoming a future swimming cat have been dashed.
There were other changes too.
Until then, when I tried to stroke his back or head, he would jump on my hand, bite, and I couldn't stroke him. But now he's become a little quieter, and I can touch his back. He sleeps less a day, but instead, he sleeps longer each time. Sometimes he goes into the transparent spaceship ball on the cat tower, puts his head on the edge, and makes a sweet expression.
He has been spending more time alone. When I look for him because I think he is not there, I find him on the owner's bed with his eyes wide open, lost in thought (or so it seems). Sometimes I don't know where he is, but if I call him "Bucho", he will come out after a while. He has completely memorized his name.
Has he finally left childhood and entered adolescence?
