The Life of Kitten Bucho-9 Training to Become the Boss cat
From past experience, cats generally seem to favor female owners. When Shimao sits on the female owner's lap and gets cozy, if a male owner comes, he gives him a quick, cold look. Also, cats, especially female cats, dislike men who make loud noises. They think of them as children who don't understand the meaning of things.
But Bucho is fair to his owners, or at least he tries to be.
That being said, he spends about the same amount of time with both owners. He plays with me during the day, occasionally popping up on my desk to pester me, but at night he stays with his male owner until he's put in his cage. And it's the male owner who gets to play in the bath more.
Actually, if you look closely, you'll notice that Buchō spends a lot of time with his male owner. He even takes naps with the male owner. He won't sit on his female owner's lap, but he will sit on his male owner's lap. Buchō may have figured out who is the boss of the house, and is training to be the boss himself.
Maybe Bucho is planning to rule the house as the boss cat. Shimao is much older and bigger than Bucho, but unfortunately he has a good personality and is timid. He is no match for Bucho.
