The life of Tomcat Bucho 3 Bucho's discharge from hospital

On the morning of the surgery, my husband took Bucho to the veterinary hospital in a cat stroller, and I went to pick him up in the evening in the freezing cold wind.

On the examination table at the veterinary clinic, Bucho, wearing a large Elizabethan collar, was quietly undergoing a final check with a serious expression on his face. The veterinarian also concluded by saying, "Fukuchiyo-chan was a very good boy." He added, "I put a necker (this is the official name, Elizabethan collar is the product name) on him to stop him licking his wounds, but I will remove it in ten days, so please come back."

“Oh, are we coming again?" Bucho and I looked at each other. And it was ten days later! I wondered if Bucho would wear the collar for ten days.

The stroller carried Bucho down the dark, cold road. Bucho didn't say a word. He didn't even struggle. I wonder if he wasn't scared of the surgery. Bucho was eerily calm in the stroller.

"Bucho, we'll be home soon," I called out to him as I pushed the stroller. Bucho didn't move a muscle.

I passed the bumpy sidewalks of the old housing complexes, the dark gardens of a large sanatorium, and finally arrived on a comfortable sidewalk next to an elementary school. But without a word. And he returned home safely. Without a word.
