The life of Tomcat Bucho 13 Bucho, clipped his claws

Cipping his claws is Bucho's biggest challenge.

Bucho had his neutering surgery without having his claws clipped for almost a year, and while he would scratch without even extending his claws as a kitten, as an adult he would often scratch with his claws extended.

Our hands are covered in wounds.

I tried to clip his claws several times, but he resisted strongly.

We had him clip his claws when we went to the vet for his second year vaccination, which was in early September. Since then, Bucho's claws have been growing out of control.

Our hands and feet were covered in blood.

I made up my mind to somehow clip Bucho's claws, and when I gently persuaded him to get into the laundry net on the bed, he surprisingly did it easily.

Of course, Bucho resisted strongly when I tried to clip his claws through the laundry net. He resisted, but the laundry net was great. I was able to clip the claws on both hands and both feet, all at once.

I thought he would be very angry about having his claws clipped, but he was just as usual. For him, having his claws clipped was just one of those things that happened every day that he didn't like.
