The Life of Kitten Bucho -19 The Uncertain Kitten Allowance

At lunchtime, both Shimao and Bucho start to get restless. Shimao looks up at me meaningfully. Bucho is more direct than Shimao and clings to me, asking "Is it done yet?" and starts to make a fuss.

It's time for the kitten allowance. The kitten allowance is the allowance of cat food that started giving to Shimao when Bucho came to live, with the intention of saying, "I'm sorry you're feeling cramped because of the kitten, but please forgive me with this."

In order to prevent Bucho from going outside into danger, the cat door, which had been open 24 hours a day, was decided to be opened only at night after Bucho went to bed. Also, since Bucho is still small, he has no idea how to keep a distance from cats, and persistently invites Shimao to play.

Adult cats usually don't like being bothered by kittens. In order to make up for all the other things that had been disrupted by Bucho's arrival, we decided to give Shimao a can of cat food once a day. Shimao was so touched because he had only rarely received a can of cat food before.

However, Bucho also started eating canned cat food. It's strange for him the kitten, which is the cause of the kitten allowance, but since they live together, there's nothing we can do. And so, this kitten allowance continues to expand.

When it's bedtime, we have to catch Bucho and take him to my husband's room because we can't open the cat door for Shimao without closing the living room door to stop Bucho coming in.

At night, to avoid being caught, Bucho hides himself out on the top shelf of the closet, out of our reach, so we use the canned cat food to lure him out.

When I start preparing the cat food, Bucho and Shimao are at my feet before I know it. When they finish eating, I grab him and take him to my husband's room, and that's it.
