The Life of Kitten Bucho- 1 Fight Steps
Bucho also learned the “Fight steps,'' which seems to be popular among kittens these days. A few days ago, he started doing this to us humans.
Around the end of May, Bucho was standing under a speckled sakaki hedge at the corner of the promenade near subway station. When he saw me, he ran to me happily. At that time, his eyes were still blue and his size was the size of my palm. The vet said he was probably about three weeks old.
Fifty-six days have passed since then, and the kitten is now just under three months old.
The “Fight Steps'' is steps that a cat bends its head 90 degrees to the direction of the headway and flies sideways while glaring at the enemy, and recently this step has been appearing in a lot of cat videos on YouTube. The humans who rescued the kittens born in the spring are uploading them.
I don't know how Bucho learned those steps. Is it based on the YouTube cat videos always watch, or is it already in the kitten's DNA?
Shimao, our senior cat, is an adult who will turn 12 this spring, so he doesn't want to play with Bucho because he can't handle the kitten's intense play. So Bucho is playing around with humans who can't get angry no matter what he does, using them as virtual enemies.
