秋耕会という美術団体の会長をつとめながら
画家として多くの作品を描いてきた。
美術団体の功績で毎年紺綬褒章を受章している。
7年前にパ-キンソン病と診断されてからも
キャンパスに向かい
また週一のタンゴダンスでモチベーションをあげ
新たなる画法(action painting)を
取り入れ描くことをあきらめない。

He originally was an architect.
His father,Seiichi Niokawa, was a Western -style painter.
To inherit his father's footsteps,he became a chairman of Shukoukai (an art organization, a general incorporated association)and also has drawn many works as a painter.
Even after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease seven years ago,
he is keeping to draw on canvas.
He increses his motivation by dancing tango.
He was taken the new way of painting”Action Painting”,and so never give up drawing on canvas.

He receives the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon every year for the success of association
